Mangalore, Dec 21: The Majdoor Sangh has threatened to hold a hunger strike until death if the district administration failed to respond to high court orders regarding movement of buses without permit.

K S R T C Majdoor Sangh general secretary Shantharam Vittla while speaking at the press conference here on Thursday December 21 said that the district administration would be responsible for the consequence of the strike.

Shantharam added that the district administration was not taking interest in transport department. As per the rules private carriage buses should give a copy of permit to the transport official.

Only 19 buses have submitted their permit copies to the officials while the remaining 66 are moving without any record. The officials concerned should take steps to stop this illegal movement of private carriages on road, he said.

Sangh organising secretary N Thimappa Mulya, joint secretary Shivanand, treasurer P S Harishchandra, state committee member Sesappa Mulya and division committee member Shivappa Mulya were present at the press meet.
