Five killed in Kashmir road accident


Srinagar, Jan 12 (IANS): At least five people were killed and three injured in a head-on collision of two vehicles Monday in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Police said a Tata Sumo taxi, en route to Srinagar from Kupwara district, collided head-on with a mini-truck on the Baramulla-Srinagar highway, 40 km from Srinagar Monday morning.

"Five passengers died on the spot in this accident while three were injured. The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment", a police official said.
