Mumbai, Jan 6 (IANS): Private carrier Jet Airways, designated the official airline partner for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2015 for the seventh consecutive time, will operate extra flights for the event, its CEO said Tuesday.

The airline will operate special domestic sector flights for the convenience of the visiting delegates from all over the world, from Mumbai and New Delhi to Ahmedabad, for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Jan 7-9, followed by the Gujarat summit scheduled Jan 11-13.

The flights are scheduled suitably to provide convenient connectivity to the Persons of Indian Origin - PIOs arriving from the Arabian Gulf region, ASEAN and Europe, said Jet Airways CEO Cramer Ball.

Jet will operate the flights on the Delhi-Ahmedabad-Delhi sector Jan 7, 10 and 11 which will offer seamless connectivity to passengers from Gulf countries, London, Hong Kong and Brussels.

It will operate similar services on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Mumbai sector Jan 8 and 11 for the delegates from Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Gulf and London and Singapore.

Besides these extra flights, Jet Airways will offer its regular daily services from New Delhi and Mumbai to Ahmedabad, offering multiple options to the PIOs.

Jet Airways, which had partnered with Vibrant Gujarat Summits on the previous six editions, will have a prominent presence in the expo area, including live counters to assist the guests with their flight requirements.
