Spanish brand Custo Barcelona to set up shop in India

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS): Custo Dalmau, an international designer famous for dressing celebrities like Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Beyonce Knowles, Shakira, Penelope Cruz and Taye Diggs, is bringing his brand to the Indian market with two stores.

Dalmau's label is called Custo Barcelona. To begin with, one of its stores will be in Mumbai and another one in the capital.

The Spanish brand is making its foray in India through a lifestyle exhibition titled 'The Reverie', which will go on for two days starting Jan 16, said a statement.

Custo Barcelona's spring-summer collection will be showcased through a fashion show, and the line will be the same as exhibited at the New York Fashion Week two months ago.

The label is available globally in more than 40 countries with about 80 exclusive outlets and 3000 fashion retailers.

The exhibition, to be presented by Wave Group and sponsored by BMW India, will host a unique and creative fashion extravaganza featuring a fashion show, raffle draw, guest photography, cocktail party and an exhibition providing people with a selection of designer products to choose from.

The exhibition has exclusively tied up with Goonj, an NGO based out of Delhi which works in 21 states across India.
