Mangalore, Dec 11: Former corporator and chief secretary district Congress committee (DCC) Rama M Kotian has demanded that schedule caste and schedule tribes should get 15 per cent and 3 per cent seat share during the election for the posts in City Corporation and various blocks of gram panchayat and zilla panchayat.

He was speaking at a press conference here on Monday December 11.

Rama said that the reservation for SC/ST groups in various blocks has not been implemented in its complete form in the district and this should be brought to the notice of the ministers.
 
Dakshina Kannada district Congress committee SC /ST department chairman K Seetharam, chief secretary of the department U Narasimha Kunder and SC/ST department Panemangalore president Padmanabha Narengan were present.
