Mangalore, Dec 11: A theft of valuables including ornaments and cash has been reported from one David D'Souza's house at Katipalla Ist Block near here on Saturday December 9 night.
The thieves have entered the kitchen of the house after opening the door through a window. But it is quite surprising to know that the house members were sleeping in the house when the theft took place.
David, his wife Gretta and family had slept quite early on Saturday night. However, they did not even know when the thieves gained entry into the house and decamped with gold, cash etc. The theft came to light only on Sunday December 10 morning.
The thieves have ransacked the cupboard and have stolen a gold chain, bracelet, bangles, rings etc. They have also stolen Gretta's purse.
The Suratkal police have registered a case in this regard.
