Bangalore, Dec 10: St Mary's Orphanage celebrated its 55th Orphanage Feast at Maria Niketan, St Mary's Town on Saturday.

The programme began with Archbishop Bernard Moras of Bangalore concelebrating a High Mass.

Orphanage director Fr John Anthony read the annual report.  Jude Thomas, Jessie Rodrigues and Jose Fernandes expressed their views on the development taking place in the Orphanage.  Jessie appreciated the steps taken by the director to eradicate the feeling of being 'orphans' from the minds of the boys.

The boys of the orphanage exhibited their talents with skits, music and musical dances.  The tunes played by the newly formed Brass Band of the orphanage pleased the audience.

In his reply, the Archbishop appreciated the all-round development in the boys and said that once earlier the orphanage housed 300 boys and that he was looking forward to that figure.

The Archbishop blessed the new team of volunteers, formed by the boys.  The programme concluded with dinner.
