Mangalore, Dec 9: The text books for the second semester of Pre-university college were released during a function held at Canara College here on Saturday December 9 morning.

The books were released by Prof Thaltaje Vasant Kumar, head of Kannada department of Mumbai University. Dr Chinnappa Gowda presided over the function. Prof Nagaraj Javali was the chief guest on the occasion.

Dr Gananath Yekkar welcomed the gathering while Nityanand Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.  Dr Nagappa Gowda compered the programme.
