Mangalore, Dec 8: The annual feast of Blessed Joseph Vaz was celebrated at a grand scale at Shrine of Blessed Joseph Vaz at Mudipu near here from December 5 to 7.
The solemn festal mass was celebrated by Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore at 10.30 am on Wednesday December 6.
The new website www.mudipushrine.com consisting information of Mudipu shrine was launched after the solemn mass.
Bishop was honoured by Mudipu parish priest Fr Andrew D’Souza on the occasion of completing 40 years of priesthood.
Fr Dominic Vas, provincial superior of Mangalore-Goa province of Carmelites offered the solemn Eucharistic celebration on Thursday December 7. Thousands of devotees thronged to the shrine to participate in the annual celebration of the feast during the three days.
