Mangalore Dec 7: A small explosion lead to an uncalled for period of confusion. Although this created a bit of commotion in the region, it was found too trivial to be attended to.

This happened in Farangipet, where a small explosion in a hall belonging to a social service organization was blown out of proportion.

A small explosion that occurred whose impact was not even 8 inches wide on the ground even brought the minister in charge for the district B Nagaraj Shetty to rush to the spot.

The ground realities were quite different. The small blast which occurred at around 8.15 pm on Dec 7 and without any investigation the news spread that a crude bomb was used.

These rumours gathered and a few local people who expressing concern gathered the explosion. Apart from creating a small crater the evening's episode had no story to tell.

However, even SP B Dayananda visited the spot. As reported by a few media networks, the region is peaceful.
