Raiding Delhi Police team attacked, 7 injured


New Delhi, Dec 22 (IANS): At least seven policemen were injured here when they were attacked by residents of a house which they raided because a sex racket was allegedly being run from there, police said Monday.

The injured policemen were admitted to a hospital, where their medical condition is said to be out of danger.

Police said the residents pelted stones when a police team came to conduct searches at the house in west Delhi's Narela area Sunday night.

The residents also vandalised five police vehicles, police said.

Meanwhile, the residents alleged that police were promoting sex racket in the area.
