Two held with fake notes in Bengal


Kolkata, Dec 21 (IANS): Two people were arrested and fake Indian currency notes of the face value of about Rs.six lakh were seized from them in West Bengal's Malda district, the BSF said Sunday.

Bishnu Miyan and Tariq Sheikh were nabbed near the Malda police station by the Border Security Force troopers and fake notes of face value of Rs.5,96,000 were found in their possession.

The accused, both residents of the district have been handed over to police.

South Bengal frontier of the BSF has seized fake notes over Rs.1.5 crore in 2014.
