Mangalore, Dec 5: The MCC officials vacated four illegally-constructed residences near KSRTC bus stand at Lalbagh here on Tuesday December 5 morning.
Four housed had been constructed on the fourth floor of Hotel Fishland at Lalbagh. As per the permission, the building had permission only to construct a four-storey building.
However, four more houses were constructed on the fourth floor using metal sheets and hollow blocks. Two families were residing in two houses while two more were still empty.
Permission was not sought from MCC to construct these rooms. Since it was not very visible to viewers, the owner had managed to run it for sometime now.
But the MCC officials with the help of adequate number of workers vacated all four rooms and the valuables within.
