Puttur, Dec 4: A person who was washed away in Gundya river owing to strong current on Thursday November 30 was fished out of water on Sunday December 3 at Kolyadakatte of Kutruppadi near Kadaba here.

Yesupad (38), son of Tangamani of Arimajalu near Ichlampadi near here was washed away while trying to cross Gundya river on Thursday.  He was returning home from his wife's house at Puduparambil when he was washed away by strong current in Gundya river.

Though his relatives, locals and police had searched extensively in the river, his body was not traced for 3 days.  But on Sunday morning, a group his body was found in a bushel at Kolyadakatte.

Kadaba police have registered a case in this regard.
