Udupi, Dec 4: Former Defence Minister and Convenor of the NDA, George Fernandes was in Udupi on Saturday, December 2 while on a visit to the Padutonse Mane Kambala Mahotsav.
Addressing the gathering he expressed his opinions about the present UPA Government and its chairperson Sonia Gandhi saying that he was a victim of political vendetta. Quoting the book 'Who Owns CBI?' by CBI former joint director P R Lal, he said that prime ministers like Rajiv Gandhi, P V Narasimha Rao and H D Deve Gowda were corrupt and they had looted the country.
He also accused the UPA Government of weakening the morale of the defence forces who defend the country. Throwing light on the Chamundeshwari by-elections, he said that Siddaramaiah was an honest politician and a secular leader.
