Mangalore, Nov 29: A theft attempt has been reported from city corporation health inspector and health officer's office near Service Bus Stand here on Tuesday November 28 night.

The thieves have gained entry into the office by breaking open the front door of the office.  The entire office has been ransacked. The important documents, papers and other stationary items have been thrown on the floor.  Office cupboards have been ransacked in search of valuables.

It is suspected that thieves might have expected to decamp with huge amount of money.  But they have found nothing.  Though there was cash in the office, it is not been stolen. However, some sources said that some records are missing from the office.

Pandeshwar police have visited the place and have registered a case in this regard.
