Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld News Network – Mumbai

Mangalore/Mumbai, Nov 21: The Mother Teresa International Award for Social Justice & Harmony, was presented on the Sunday November 19, at the Taj President in Mumbai.

Dr Mahathir Mohammed, former prime minister of Malaysia, was given the Mother Teresa International Award for Social Justice & Harmony.

Among the national awardees was Oscar Fernandes, union labour minister. Other awardees included Sudha Murthy (Rural Health Care), Anna Hazare (Crusader for Public Causes), TCS (Corporate Social Responsibility), SEAL Org (Destitute Care ),  Teesta Setalvad (Human Rights) and Nitin Sardar (Welfare of Dalits and Tribals).

The award is presented annually by the Harmony Foundation in association with the All India Christian Council.
