Sharad Pawar injured, taken to Mumbai by air ambulance

New Delhi, Dec 3 (PTI): NCP Chief Sharad Pawar was today injured when he slipped during morning walk at his residence here and has been taken to Mumbai by air ambulance.

Pawar, 73, suffered injury in his leg and apparently in his back and will be admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, sources said.

His wife Pratibha and daughter Supriya Sule are accompanying him.

Pawar slipped during his usual morning walk at his Janpath bungalow, they said, but did not elaborate further on his condition.

Pawar, who left Congress and formed Nationalist Congress Party in 1999, is currently a member of Rajya Sabha.

He is a three-time chief minister of Maharashtra and a former Union Minister.

    Shanawaz I agree to you comment! I once joked when he filed election affidavit saying, he has just 12 crores or so.... I said, if he goes and sits on commode every morning, he can s**t as much money on daily basis...

    but my problem is, people never opposed him, so far cos he was SECULAR all his life and he was part of secular government for last 10 years, and oversaw every farmer committed suicide/// that is his contri as agriculure minister..

    I also never saw a word spoken, those who oppsed smriti irani, about his 10th pass certificate or education credentials (while I dont care what he studied, education is misnomer for me..banda dil se accha ho toh woh kuch bhi hasil kar sakta hai)

    anyways, as a human, I will wish him a speedy recovery!

    Correct. Delhi has some of the best hospitals in India one of them came to the same rank like the Vellore hospital in Tamil Nadu.

    Air Ambulance to Mumbai, then it may be to London or New York.
