Mangalore, Nov 20: The parishioners of Immaculate Conception Church at Kinnigoli near here celebrated the Confraternity Sunday on November 19 evening.
Confraternity Sunday is celebrated in most of the parishes in the Mangalore diocese on the Sunday preceding the annual parish feast (Saant Mari or Vhodlem Fest).
Fr Ronald Serrao, professor at Jeppu Seminary was the main celebrant while Balkunje parish priest Fr William Martis, Kinnigoli parish priest Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Pompei College principal Fr Valerian Fernandes and assistant parish priest Fr Anil D'Silva were the concelebrant.
The traditional 'Eucharistic Procession which is an integral part of Confraternity Sunday too was held. The procession was held from church premises to Bhattakodi. Hundreds of parishioners participated in the entire liturgical celebration. The annual feast of Kinnigoli church will be held on Wednesday November 22 with solemn Eucharistic celebration at 10.30 am.
