Centre approves higher ground coverage, FAR in Delhi


New Delhi, Nov 26 (IANS): Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu has approved the Delhi Development Authority's proposal to enhance ground coverage and floor area ratio (FAR) in the national capital, a statement said Wednesday.

"FAR in respect to plots of 750-1,000 square metres size has been enhanced from the present 150 percent to 200 percent while it has been increased from 120 percent to 200 percent for plots of 1,000 square metres and above," said the statement from the ministry.

Meanwhile, the ground coverage for plots of 750-1,000 square metres will remain at 50 percent and for plots of 1,000 square metres and above, the coverage has been increased from 40 percent to 50 percent.
