Moodbidri, Nov 16: A new welcome arch at Taccode cross on Bantwal-Moodbidri road, about 1.5 kms from the church, was dedicated for use on Sunday, November 12.
The arch has been erected to the memory of the late Basil Mendes, father of Max Mendes of Canada and of the late Jossy Cardoza (who died in a road accident in Dubai some time ago).
The arch was formally inaugurated by Magdalene Mendes, wife of the late Basil Mendes and Agnes Cyril Cardoza..
Fr Edwin Pinto of the Alangar Sanatorium, parish priest Fr Hilary Lobo and a large number of parishioners were present on the occasion.
The construction of the arch has been executed by Stephen Walter Mendes.
