Udupi, Nov 15: A person who had sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital following a collision between a private bus and bike near Marigudi at Kaup near here on Sunday November 12, succumbed to injuries in hospital on Monday November 13.

Suresh Amin (36), a resident of Moodabettu near Kodavoor here had been knocked down by a recklessly driven private bus on Sunday.  As a result he had sustained critical injuries in his head.  Owing to excessive bleeding, he was admitted to KMC Hospital at Manipal near here.  However, he breathed his last after failing to respond to medication on Monday.

Suresh was a tailor by profession and had his own tailoring shop at Kodavoor.  He had come to his wife's house at Kaup to meet his wife who had been in her parents’ house following her second deliver a month ago.   He was on his way back home when the accident took place.

Suresh is survived by wife, a boy and a daughter.  The bus driver who fled the place immediately after the accident is still at large.  Kaup police have registered a case in this regard.
