Mangalore, Nov 15: In another case of spurious liquor, the Excise police team has seized 20 boxes of spurious liquor which was transported on a car near Kadri Hills here on Tuesday November 14 morning. The police have also arrested two persons in this regard.
The police seized the liquor after receiving a sure tip-off that liquor was being illegally transported on a car. The police stopped the car at Kadri Hills and seized spurious liquor bottles packed in 20 boxes. As of now, the total value of the seized liquor is said to be Rs 39,000.
The police also arrested two persons who were in the car. They have been identified as Ratnakar Rao (54) and Rahim Khan (36). The ambassador car used in transporting the liquor too has been seized.
