kuldesh, bangalore, Shale oil ? that’s a far fetched dream as far as India is concerned. On a global scale our reserves are very meager, again US leading the pack. Besides depending on the west for technology for exploration/tapping, hydraulic fracturing, the process deployed to tap shale oil alleged to cause tremors on earth. Some time back it was reported that few shale oil deposits were discovered in Arunachal Pradesh, that could be a reason why China has it’s eye on India’s north eastern states.
Agreed countries like Russia, China and Venezuela, Iran are out of petrodollar net but that doesn’t make China next alternative of international hard currency. Most of the Islamic oil producing countries are with US because of only one reason, in return US supplies technology/machinery for oil/gas industry and more importantly arms to them, again business and more money to US and there seems to be no end to the conflicts among these countries with their neighbors in the near future. If you consider the military might of US and China, it’ll take another few decades for China to catch up with the current US and by then US will be another few decades ahead!

Exactly. Just a few days back Democrats lost majority in Senate, and it is now Republicans who control the house. Come 2016 when USA goes for general election, Democrats will be on back-foot, and Obama will want to leave on high note and impress upon the American people, that he managed to keep the economy head above water, by scoring major arms deals. Same reason too, he passed the immigration bill yesterday, where 4 million illegal immigrants can be eligible for Green Cards, and boost his party's democratic electorate which is pro-immigration. It is all done for boosting the democrat party's image for 2016.
In a way, he is like Modi, except that Obama walks his talk, whereas the indian public is still waiting on Modi's big talks to deliver.

USA has never done any favours to anyone except itself. they used all nations to its benefit and ditched them when they don't need them anymore. Pakistand is a good example for that. USA need a counter force in Asia against China and it is now pleasing India to keep check on China. USA don't love anyone. Modi is getting thrilled about Obama who is about to leave office and him accepting invitation to attend any function is not so significant. What is important for India is how USA is going support us in all International forums. They see in Modi a person who can be pleased with small things and then get all defence deals for itself. Modi can be influenced with little friendly gestures and this is what Obama is doing. this is the same Obama when he came to power wanted to send all Indian Techis back from USA and stop all outsourcing to India. Now he has realized that a silly man is in power in india and he can be exploited. He clearly knows Modi's clout and power as far as decision making is concerned and he knows that Modi is India and India is Modi. This is the right time to milk India. america is helpless as $3 trillion american debts bonds are with chinas hands.and it has more than $20 trillion of overall debts.

its hardcore allies like uk,france,germany,isreal are slowly leaving its sides and are framing thier independent policies.

usa doesnt have any strong ally in asia pacific and it is looking for some sort of strong ally in india.

but india never alligned completely with any nation in its history as per its non alignment policy and will never allign with western powers completly either.

modi is too shrewd to know this.

modi wants to send a message to pak and china to not mess with it militarily while india is improving itself financialy and politically in global arena.china will be in two minds to support pak now.modi has shot two birds in one bullet.

if these types of poiltical strategy was carried out 10 years back we would not have seen 26/11 and beheading of 5 indian soldiers due to weak govt untill may 2014.

Thanks to the Ukrainian fiasco, every leader in Europe knows Putin is in expansionist mode, and wants to redraw the map of europe under russian occupation, much like how Dinanath Batra wants to redraw map of Akand Bharath. do you know some of the european states like sweden denmark which till now did not recognise palestine as a state have recognised palestine a month back defying israel?this has angered israel and they relised that usa is not a worthy ally.they are even selling thier hi fi arms to china defying usa recently.

nato is not strong as it was off yore, as america and eu are battling severe recession and doesnt have the werwhittal to reempower it. thats the reason they are hesitant to fight against isis,iran,syria or north korea which has china and russia backing.

russias putin and china are planning a major coup of east europe within a decade and in thier radars are countries of former soviet union like ukraine,georgia,poland,finland etc.

russia and china will together ute this plan with thier heavy miltary and economic might combined and us and eu may be mute spectators.

do you not see china and russias attempts in forming parallel to un,world bank,adb,imf etc like ndb,sco,brics etc.

i am loving it as i want east to rule over the west.india should in this case allign with china and russia to protect its interests

In spite of all these debts, why USD is getting stronger day by day and shows no signs of relinquish against any currency in the world? FYI on May 16, 2014 USD was 58.57 INR. After ‘too smart’ Modi took over INR started it’s southward journey and today as I type this it’s 61.69. Have you heard of the term ‘Petrodollar system?’
All most all of the petroleum transactions in the world are carried out in USD (thanks to the visionary Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger), therefore so long as there’s demand for petroleum there’s demand for USD and US can continue to print dollars at it’s whims and fancies to meet this ever increasing demand. Incidentally, US is the only country that can spend more than it’s income and continue not just survive but dominate the world. Of course, if and when an alternative to petroleum is invented (by then the planet might run out of petroleum) things will change. And who’ll pioneer such an alternative? Going by the current trend it’s obvious that it’s none other than US of A. It’s said that the next source of energy supply will be SBSP (space based solar power), Satellites orbiting in space collect sunlight covert into electricity powering a microwave transmitter or laser emitter, and focus its beam toward a collector on Earth's surface. Or in other words wireless transmission of energy from space to earth. Sounds like science fiction? Well, when we continue to run from pillar to post for coal, NASA has already achieved wireless transmission of electricity on earth. The challenge however is to make economically viable.

but in recent daya ,china with with support from russia are preparing ground to replace us currency with chinese yuan.

they have even got the tactic support of germany,france and uk in this regard.

in near future us currency will be replaced with chinese currency as the world currency.

controlling oil prices according to usa's whims and fancies worked untill now and it will work till next decade.but surely not further.

bcoz, usa had explored vast shale oil reserves that is more than whole of middle east in volume in its own backyard.

china and even india has vast shale oil reserves along with russia.

once efficient mechanisms for extracting shale will be operational,oil demand of the world from gulf countries will drastically wane and therby petrodollars will be thing of past.

once iran becomes nuclear which is already in the process,usa will loose its trusted ally in gulf ,saudi arabia along with other sunni countries.

petrodollars influences worked untill now.but with the discovery of shale reserves, it will become history in next decade.

that said:

india should not shift its foreign policy completly towards usa and eu bcoz global might and influence is shifting from west to east
and within next 2 decades east will be dictating terms to the whole world and not west.
eu powerhouses like germany,france and uk have already understood this and going all out of thier way to woo india and china.
simple logic where there is sugar ants come there.uk,germany and france has even defied usa redcently when it comes to india and china.

only after russian warships confronted usa warships it left india territory.otherwise god knows what would have happened.
