Rs.8 lakh looted in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, Nov 19 (IANS): Three criminals fled with a bag containing Rs.8 lakh in cash and a pistol from a car here Wednesday.

The incident occurred at the Raj Nagar District Centre when Parminder Shekhawat, a Greater Noida-based builder, came to the Ghaziabad courts.

As he went into the complex, three men approached his parked car, scattered a few 10-rupee currency notes and innocently asked the car driver if the money was his.

As the driver's attention was diverted, one of the criminals took away the bag containing the cash from the car, police officer Avneesh Gautam said.
