Juveniles try to flee shelter home, caught

New Delhi, Nov 17 (IANS): Five juveniles living in a shelter home here tried to flee but were caught, police said Monday.

The juveniles, lodged at a juvenile home in north Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar area, were breaking the wall with an iron rod when a warden caught them at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The juveniles were singing songs and thumping doors so that officials did not hear any sound, said an officer.

They later told officials that they were trying to break the wall for the past two days and used a carrom board to hide the portion they were working on.

Police said no written complaint has been lodged with them.
