Manohar Parrikar to meet top defence brass in Delhi today

New Delhi, Nov 17 (Zee News): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will hold a series of meetings with the top brass of the three services and his ministry starting Monday.

The objective of these meetings is to fast track the acquisition and upgradation process in the armed forces.

Parrikar, who assumed charge of his office last week, has already had a first round of meetings with the service chiefs, and directed the Army, the Navy and the Air Force to prioritize their demands.

He has reportedly made it clear that the acquisition process under him will be fast and transparent.

Earlier, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who was holding additional charge of Defence, had undertaken a series of swift decisions and cleared projects and purchases worth about Rs 1.2 lakh crore.

there was one guy who was previous defense minister for 10 long years known as mr clean.

to save his mr clean image he did not sign any major deals to empower the indian military and as a result indian military is in dire states.

we can understand this by prev navy chief statements that "forget about new quality procurements we didnt even have batteries to change for submarines if they failed."

wah wah, kya halat banake raka he humare military ka.

our new dm manohar parikkar who has a hawks brain will make our military top notch battle ready within 5 years.

    good day,thanks

Ever since when did telling the truth become "spewing venom"????

Parikkar went on record and said that chinese incursion is not a "big thing". You may verify the same.

Boy - you need to have the stomach to digest facts rather than worshipping feku like a blind bhakt.

If we have a few more blind bhakts then our nation will go down the drain.

I believe Mr. Parrikar could have performed better as Railway Minister. As son of Konkan he would have done better justice to our region. He could have given defence later.

Parrikar is turning out to be a loose cannon as Def Minister who is contradicting his boss Modi.

Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday said Chinese incursions into Arunachal Pradesh were "not serious" and that "Chinese intrusion is a serious issue only for media".

What does feku have to say now ...while in opposition he was screaming on top of his voice that the previous govt is not doing nothing to tackle chinese.

And now his own Defence minister is talking like a man who is high on Goan Feni.

    Acche din for Chinese????
