Four terrorists held in Myanmar

Yangon, Nov 17 (IANS): Four terrorists who infiltrated into Myanmar to carry out destructive acts have been nabbed, a police official said Monday.

The four wanted terrorists were caught in Theinnyi, Shan state, Friday evening, a day after the end of the 25th ASEAN summit and 9th East Asia Summit in Nay Pyi Taw, when a passenger bus carrying them was intercepted at an entry checkpoint to the city, Xinhua reported.

The four were reported to have infiltrated from western Rakhine state and hidden themselves in Mon state's Mawlamyine from where the information about them was leaked out.

They allegedly plotted bomb attacks on Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon during the ASEAN Summit and East Asia Summit, the official said.
