Mangalore, Nov 9: Government PU College for Girls at Car Street here organised a district-level science model making exhibition on Thursday November 9.  A total 20 participants from 14 colleges around the city participated in the competition. 

Various science models such as magnetic crane, tele-communication systems, theodolite, remote control car etc were displayed at the competition.

The competition has been organized on the occasion of decennial celebrations of the science section of the college.  Incidentally the college is also celebrating 25 years’ jubilee this year.

The competition was inaugurated by mayor Vijaya Arun. Devanand Pai, corporator, presided over the function while Dr K V Rao, honorary secretary of DCST was the chief guest on the occasion. The mayor was felicitated on behalf of the college on the occasion.

The valedictory of the same was held in the evening and was presided over by Sheelavati Kolambe, deputy director of PU Education.

Competition coordinators Sarojini Achar and Suresh N K and college principal P P Joseph were also present on the occasion.
