Policeman killed in Pakistan check-post attack


Islamabad, Nov 14 (IANS): At least one policeman was killed Friday when armed militants attacked a check-post in Pakistan, media reported.

Four armed motorcyclists resorted to indiscriminate firing at a police check-post in the Nasarabad area of Hana in Quetta, Dawn online reported.

The policeman has been identified as Sultan Mohammad. The militants also snatched weapons from the police personnel.

Police said the assailants managed to escape unhurt from the scene.

Police termed the attack an incident of targeted killing. However, there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
