Vadodara, Nov 7: Taking a clue from Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don', a class sixth student from Anand on Monday staged a kidnapping drama to avoid his tuition class.

It was high drama at the Raopura police station here after the 11-year-old boy, Tirth Patel, landed up there along with a local youth on Monday morning to narrate his kidnapping by a gang of four.

Following police interrogation, the boy, who earlier claimed that he was kidnapped by the gang in a car from near his Anand residence and was left on the Viswamitri bridge here, however, later revealed that he had fled from home to avoid punishment for not doing his tuition lesson.

“Shahrukh Khan's trick in 'Don' came to my mind and I boarded a vadodara-bound train as I was sure that the teacher would punish me for not having completed the home work,” he admitted.

The boy was later handed over to his parents.
