Five militants killed in Pakistan

Islamabad, Nov 9 (IANS): At least five militants were killed and six injured Sunday when forces attacked hideouts in Pakistan's Khyber Agency.

The attack was carried out in the Bara area, Dawn online reported.

Khyber is among Pakistan's seven semi-autonomous tribal districts near the Afghan border, rife with homegrown insurgents and foreign militants.

Pakistan's military launched operation "Khyber-1" last month with air strikes targeting Lashkar-i-Islam (LI) hideouts in the areas of Tirah and Bara.
