Gurgaon, Nov 8 (IANS): Shocked at the death of her mother during treatment at a multi-specialty private hospital here, a 25-year-old woman Saturday committed suicide by jumping from the 15th floor of the same hospital, police said.
Neha Gupta, a resident of Muradnagar area of Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh, jumped from the 15th floor of the Medanta-The Medicity hospital in Sector 38. She died on the spot before she could be provided medical aid, a doctor said.
"Neha's 58-year-old mother Sunita Gupta was a patient of heart disease. She was admitted to the hospital Oct 18, and died Saturday noon during treatment," said police officer Vijay Kumar of the Sadar police station.
"Neha was a science post-graduate. She went into depression after her mother's death. At the time of her suicide, some family members were present at the hospital. No suicide note was found," he said.
