Mangalore, Nov 4: The special squad of excise police led by sub-inspector Vinod Kumar have seized spurious liquor worth Rs 2 lac at Kottar Chowki on Friday November 3 night.  The police have also arrested one Claudy D'Souza in this regard.

Claudy was transporting 540 litres of spurious liquor on a Maruti Omni (KA 19 P 1680) when the excise police intercepted the car at Kottar Chowki on Friday night.  The liquor was stored in huge rubber tubes. Claudy was immediately arrested and later produced before the court.
