Mangalore, Nov 4: The district bus owners have decided to partially support the bandh called by the Karnataka State Owners' Association that began from Friday November 3.

This was announced by K Raja Verma Ballal, chairman, All India Bus Operators Confederation while addressing presspersons here on Friday November 3.

He informed that though he had been to New Delhi to meet T R Baalu, Union minister for road transport to discuss the issue of repair of roads, the minister was not available and he instead met the secretary of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). As much has been Rs 60 crore has been demanded in this regard, he added.

He further said that the chief engineer of NHAI has been deputed to examine the condition of the roads and money for their repair work will be released soon.

Among those present were J P Menezes, president, KCCI and other officer bearers of KCCI.
