Kundapur, Nov 4: The Byndoor range officer and staff have seized illegally-transported teakwood worth Rs 4.60 lac at Kaltodu near Byndoor here on Friday November 3.  The police have also arrested one person in this regard.

The arrested has been identified as Sudhakar Shetty.  He was transporting teakwood on a Mahindra Pick-up vehicle.  The teakwood was cut from reserve forest area at Koorshegudde near Kaltodu.

An enquiry is now being initiated into the case.
