New Delhi, Nov 6 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee Thursday congratulated Evo Morales on his re-election as the president of Bolivia.
"Your victory is a manifestation of the confidence people of Bolivia repose in you and your strong leadership," Mukherjee said in a message.
He said India remained committed to work with Bolivia to take forward their bilateral ties.
"India and Bolivia enjoy a longstanding friendship. I am confident that in the years to come both our nations will continue to further strengthen and deepen our ties," he said.
Evo Morales, a keen footballer, has been the president of Bolivia since January 2006. A member of Bolivia's indigenous community, he heads the Movement for Socialism party.
