Puttur, Nov 3: Uppinangady witnessed a heavy downpour on Thursday evening. The surprise rains which lashed the region between 3 pm and 5 pm were accompanied by stormy winds.
Although it was a respite from the rising heat, normal life was affected for a short duration.
A coconut tree fell on the house of Hameed of Adarsh Nagar, near Uppinangady damaging the roof of the house. The loss is estimated at Rs 50.000.
