Kundapur, Nov 2: An unidentified young woman found at Maravante beach on near here Tuesday October 31has been identified as Dhanalakshmi (28), a teacher from Mangalore.   The reports said that she had committed suicide owing to some personal reasons.

The local police had found this unidentified body on the Maravante beach on Tuesday.  Following this they had published the news on the newspapers too.  Having read the reports, her relatives had gone up to the Primary Health Centre here where they identified Dhanalakshmi's body.

Dhanalakshmi was the daughter of Parameshwar Shetty of Pilar-Someshwar near Ullal in Mangalore.  She had 3 elder sisters who are already married.  But Dhanalakshmi had not yet married since there were no proper proposals coming on her way.

Distressed by this, she decided to end her life.  She had gone to duty on Monday October 27 as usual.  But in the evening, instead of returning home, she called up and said that she was jumping into Netravati river to commit suicide.  But her family members did not take this seriously.  When she did not return home on the same evening, they started searching for her in their relatives' houses.  Finally after reading the reports of an unidentified woman being found dead on the Maravante shores, the family members came here and identified her.
