Judge shot dead in Afghanistan


Kabul, Nov 3 (IANS): Unknown gunmen shot dead a judge in Afghanistan's Ghor province, an official said Monday.

"Qazi Abdul Majid, who served as a judge with the provincial judiciary panel was attacked by unknown gunmen Sunday night on his way home and died on the way to hospital," the official told Xinhua.

Police have launched a probe into the incident.
