Man shot dead in Delhi


New Delhi, Nov 3 (IANS): A 32-year-old man was shot dead Monday by two unidentified men inside his house in Delhi, police said.

Rakesh Thakur was shot dead in front of his wife in east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area around 10 a.m., police said.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The victim's wife told police that someone knocked on their door Monday morning and as soon as her husband opened it he was shot at, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Pushpendra Kumar said.

"We are questioning the victim's brother, relatives and friends to find out the reason behind the murder," Pushpendra Kumar told IANS.
