Lucknow, Oct 29 (IANS): Film personalities like Shyam Benegal, Muzaffar Ali, writer Shobha De and journalist Mrinal Pandey will be part of the Literary Carnival at the Lucknow Mahotsava this year, officials said Wednesday.
The three-day festival will be held Nov 28-30 at the Sangeet Natak Academy. Actor Anupam Kher and writer Mark Tully will also participate in the Literary Carnival that being organised for the first time at the event, an official told IANS.
Tourism Officer R.P. Yadav said TCS regional chief Jayant Krishna has been assigned the task of organising the carnival. He has organised the festival in the past as well.
The highlights of the event include an evening for Ghazal queen Beghum Akhtar Nov 29 where folk singer Malini Awasthi will perform.
