Moscow, Oct 29 (IANS/TASS): Russia launched Soyuz-2.1a rocket with space freighter Progress M-25M from Baikonur space centre Wednesday, Russian space agency Roscosmos told TASS.
“The launch was made at 10.10 a.m. Moscow time Wednesday. All pre-launch operations and the launch of the space freighter by a new rocket were conducted as scheduled,” the space agency said.
Progress was blasted off to the International Space Station (ISS) by a Soyuz-2.1a rocket for the first time. Soyuz-U rockets have earlier taken space freighters into the outer space.
