Seven held for gambling in Gurgaon


Gurgaon, Oct 21 (IANS): Seven people were arrested Tuesday from a hotel in Gurgaon for gambling and over Rs.14 lakh was recovered from their possession, police said.

Sandeep Singh, Ravinder Kumar, Yogesh Kumar, Naveen Kumar and Ramesh Arora, all from Gurgaon, were arrested from sector 29, police said.

Manoj Kumar and Rajdeep Singh, who belong from Delhi, were also arrested.

"About Rs.14.6 lakh, playing cards and a note book were recovered from their possession," a senior police officer said.

A case under the gambling act has been registered against them.
