10 killed in Pakistan road accident


Islamabad, Oct 21 (IANS): At least 10 people were killed Tuesday when a passenger van plunged into a ravine in Pakistan's Muzaffarabad district.

The vehicle was going from Jagharan to Kundil Shahi when the accident occurred, Dawn online reported.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred due to the uneven roads and mountainous tracks.

Pakistan has one of the world's worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
