Udupi, Oct 19: The repair works on the National Highway 17 which were pending for long owing to incessant rains have now been resumed, said assistant executive engineer of National Highway department Ramesh.

However, rains are still a threat for the works. Though there is a short respite in the last couple of days, whether is still cloudy and are rains are expected at any time.  If it rains once again, then repair works will be stopped or the pace will be slowed down, he added.
