Pak violates ceasefire again in JK, fires along LoC in Poonch

Jammu, Oct 15 (PTI): Pakistani troops again violated the ceasefire today by resorting to mortar shelling and firing along the LoC in Poonch district.

There was firing from across the border along LoC in Saujian sector of Poonch district this morning, Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch, Shamsher Hussain told PTI.

Pakistani troops also targeted forward areas in Kirni and Shahpur belts, he said, adding there was no injury to anyone in the cross-border firing. A Defence Spokesman said the troops retaliated to the Pakistani firing."There was no loss of life", he said.

Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Zone, Shant Manu said today that "there has been no firing by Pakistan along the IB in the past few days. It is calm."

He, however, said that firing by Pakistan is going on along the LoC in Saujian belt of Poonch.

The IB and LoC in Jammu region have witnessed heavy firing and mortar shelling by Pakistani troops since October one which has left eight persons dead and over 94 injured, including 13 security men.

Besides nearly 30,000 people have fled from their border homes leaving 113 hamlets deserted along the IB.

"The Pakistani firing and mortar shelling stopped at 1045 hours today along the LoC in Poonch district", the Defence spokesman said.

He said Pakistani troops fired 82 mm mortar bombs in the shelling. "There has been no loss of life on the Army's side", the spokesman said.

PM MODI IN US "A Post by
Wilson Battu : I would like all my friends and followers on Facebook to know that I have been in the US for the last three decades and have been very politically active, informed and have witnessed most newsworthy events. My posts have been mainly to inform (and disillusion) the starry goggle eyed, MODIfied individuals of the facts. What you learned, saw and read in India , that hired (and paid) Indian media fed you, has been far from truth.

1.In a rare denial of protocol, neither Obama nor the Vice President Biden or any US official of high cadre, was present to receive Modi on his arrival.

    2. The much hyped about Madison Square Garden event was organized and paid for by Indian Embassy with Indian Tax money and some money was collected by selling high priced tickets to gullible Indian diaspora.

3.Obama made Modi wait for three days before granting him an audience.

    4. Michelle Obama opted out of the state “dinner”.

    5. Unlike, when the then PM, Manmohan Singh visited, there was no photo-op on the front steps of the White House – a standard protocol awarded to all visiting foreign dignitaries.

    6. Modi was housed at a US guest house across the street from the White House (WH). He was not offered the Lincoln Room in WH that is reserved and rewarded to only highly respected foreign dignitaries.

    7. He could have stayed at “The Pierre” in New York as it is owned by Tatas but the WH wanted to restrict his movements and visitors. (Iran’s ex-President Ahmadinejad was only allowed to go from his hotel to the UN Assembly hall and back. Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi had to sleep in a tent in New York’s Central Park as American hotels refused to rent him a room).

    8. While Indian TV channels were flooded with news and videos of “Rock Star” reception of Modi, they forgot to tell you that all the “guests” had bought high priced tickets in hope of gaining expedited business licenses in India.

    contd.

    Contd...

    10. CNN ran a pre-recorded and edited interview of Modi, by an Indian-American reporter Fareed Zakaria.

Major channels like ABC, NBC, FOX etc TV channels did not consider his visit worthy of special airtime.

    11. New York Times, New York Post, Daily News, Newsday etc spared a small insignificant column space deep inside their publications on 6th, 8th or 10th page.

Well as Eleanor Roosevelt, a former US First Lady and wife of President Theodore Roosevelt, had once said, “Nothing that happens in politics is a surprise. Everything is pre-planned and calculated”."

The truth is that BJP walas have paid a lot of news channels around billions of rupees since last year to promote feku and fools crores of Indians about their crooked "Acche din"..

Best is for US to the Ebola virus in Paki and ISIS dominated areas and some of us can live in peace. Even if some Indians get affected by this virus, we should only see this as a form of population control by nature (survival of the fittest) as only 45-50% of the people will die and survival rate is higher than AIDS)...No problem, if Modi takes credit for this also...I know i will get lots of disagrees and objections, but i had to speak my point..

When once in a while Pak used to trangress, firing into Indian territory during UPA rule, the steadfast followers of BJP used to make a huge hue and cry on those few incidents.
Now they have run into their holes (That is why they think all are mice and use the word frequently now in singular form) and not uttering a single comment on the daily shooting\firing at the border unabated. Was India then different from now for these people to keep quiet now and not to raise their voices against the present Government? That shows they have no concern at all at the incursions that are happening at the Ind\Pak border.

bullet diplomacy will surely work.they just cant accept defeat in ceasefire violations.so pakis firing half heartedly at indian borders.

"laathon ke bhoot baathon se nahi maanthe"

they went to un to tell them india is firing at our borders and to raise kashmir issue.

but un kicked them in thier a@ses.
now this ploy of firing at indian borders at immediatly running to un to play victim will permanently end.
afterall who will side with looser porkis.even china understood this and slowly leaving pak and embracing india.

Declaring all out war with Pakistan is not so easy. Since now they have nuclear weapon, incase of conventional war, definitely they can be defeated easily in a few days time, but on the edge of humiliating defeat, they may use nuclear arsenal as a final resort which will result in heavy loss of lives and economy to us. But of course, India will also retaliate with similar weapon which may wipe Pakistan out of word map.

But now they came to know that 56" chest holder paper tiger is ruling India and he is not much bothered about his country and citizens. He is only interested in getting more seats for his party. Central govt have resign immediately for their weak response to Pakistan's chaos.

indias full time pm is working 24/7 and that is a good news for indians which was not the case before.

it seems ,it was a calculated move by indian pm to give defence portfolio to jaitley who was already burdened with several other portolios so that he can remote control this ministry.

our defence sector has become so weak in recent years that no new standard purchases have been made until recently.

modi wants to give defence sector a complete overhaul.

I guess, the Pakis are frustrated as UN has rejected their proposal for intervention. Guess Pak still think that India is still ruled by 'Khans' Antanio Maino Khan and Raul Vinci Khan thru a gutless puppet called MMS & would worry more of their vote bank. The lenient approach of the Khangress in teh past despite Jawans being beheaded has led to this situation we are having today.

israel also could not do anything if its enemy has nukes.

thats why it is trying its level best so that iran doesnt become nuke power so that it will arm palestine with nukes.

then it will be difficult for israel to retaliate to palestine like it has retaliated few months back.

the best strategy for india is to devolop hydrogen bomb and scalar weapons.

right now these technologies are ther only with usa and russia and china is trying hard to devolop it
which is 10000 times more powerful than nukes.

    Dear Abu, Karkal,

Why referendum should be called to remain or not to remain Kashmir with India just because Scotland called referendum. Is it so imperative to you?! Kashmir was ruled by a Hindu Leader/Ruler. The Hindu ruler gave allegiance letter with spirit to India. So Kashmir has become India’s integral part. There is no question whatsoever to call for a referendum. The only thing what Indian government should do is to remove the special status to Kashmir. So that any tom, ram, rahim can stay in Jammu and Kashmir without any hindrances from anybody.

PAKISTAN SHOULD BE LUCKY THAT THE HINDU’S SO FAR DIDN’T ANNEX PAKISTAN RATHER THE CRUCKED LATE MORARJI DESAI GAVE PERMISSION OF NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE TO PAKISTAN FOR BUILDING NUCLEAR BOMB.

dream on!!! .... truth is UPA in its foreign and defence policy had broken the moral of the people n forces.. they changed some 5-6 foreign ministers !! natwar, MMS, Pranab, Krishna, Khurshid... all they did was playing kho-kho, while our soldiers were beheaded, ceasfire violated, they encroached.. and these guys stopped playing circket and had dinner in UN!! and praised, wish I was in Beijing, Islamabad is my second home..

its a 10 yr long mess and now to set it right within 4 months, is asking for baby in 4 months!... But Modi is doing satisfactory job.. yes, I agree a full time defence minister is required..maye be Arun Shourie shld have been brought in or toughie like Subramanian Swany kinds will be helpful!!! ...

Our army is giving befitting reply, so much so that Pakis r running to UN for of a hat...!! rememebr we were the ones who used to be like this ever since 1948....!!

Our building a 1800km highway in NE has irked China and they r feeling threatened too... anyways, wait baba...!! we havent solved Cauvery issue between Karnataka and Tamilnadu, for last so many years... ye toh Kashmir hai! :-D ... thoda nuksaan hone do, us side pe...!! Pakistna ke baaki ka lifelines like china support, Iran support, US aid, UN support etc kaatne pe dhyan do!...

    to all the commentors here:

you people should read an impartial article by international agency reuters on recent indo-pak ceasefire violations.

they have mentioned that this is the first time thru strict and direct central govt orders, indian army is retaliating 6 times to 1 time ceasefire violation by pak and pak army is frightened by indian army change of tactics which inflicted severe damage to infrastructure of pak army.

indian army official had said that prev govt was numb when ceasefire violations were taking place and there was no clear orders for indian army then and army was confused on what proportions they have to retaliate for pak ceasefire violations.

lets see how much pak army has wherwital to withstand damages done by indian army to them.
