Mangalore, Oct 19: A national-level human rights team arrived in the city on Wednesday to go into the occurrence of violence in the city last fortnight.

They held a preliminary meeting in Shanti Kiran, Bajjodi to chalk out a plan to go into the background and aftermath of the violent indicents.

Prominent among them are Teesta Setalvad from Maharashtra, Damayanti froom Tamil Nadu, Prof Balagopal from Andhra Pradesh, Prof Sheshaiah, Prof V S Shridhar, Prof Nagari Babaiah, G Rajashekhar and Prof H Pattabhiram Somayaji from Karnataka.
