CPI-M wants oil prices cut

New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS): The CPI-M Tuesday asked the government to slash the prices of diesel and petrol.

"There has been a sharp fall in the international prices of oil. At present, crude oil price has gone below $90 a barrel," the Communist Party of India-Marxist said in a statement.

"Despite this, the (Narendra) Modi government has not reduced the prices of diesel at any stage. The retail price of petrol also needs to be reduced further," it said.
