Mangalore, Oct 19: The activities of National Service Scheme Unit of St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangalore for 2006-07 were inaugurated recently  by Dr Indira B, NSS Programme Officer, Fr. Muller’s Medical College. She stressed on the role of NSS members in promoting health awareness among youth in the country.

On this occasion, “Healthy Youth for Healthy India”, the NSS theme for the year, was unveiled.

Charles Stany Pais, NSS Programme Officer of St Agnes College, addressed the fresh NSS volunteers and explained about NSS and its significance in the current scenario.

College director Fr Valerian D’Souza presided over the function.
